Perfect appliance!.The main reason you want to get this cute little donut maker was because You had run into several healthy donut recipes that sounded interesting. Never owned one before, but this is a fun little kitchen appliance that I'm not the least bit sorry I ordered. The only reason I gave it 4 stars? It's blue! How many kitchen appliances do you have that are blue, or should I say baby blue.
This cool little donut maker makes a larger number (7) than most similar appliances.It looks like a great machine when it comes out of the box.
The machine is a beautiful shade of pale blue and it has the convenient lid lock and ready light that many Sunbeam products have.It is thankfully non-stick and easy to clean as our first attempt at making donuts ended up with practically all of the mix stuck to every inch of it. These make donuts a bit smaller than the donut gems you can buy at the store, but they cook in about 6mins.The upside is they're a smaller treat.Machine and bakes both sides beautifully as long as you fill the indentions full.
Pros:
Cute.
Cooks quickly (2-3 minutes per batch).
Non-stick surface works great.
Fun for the whole family.
Makes donut making easy without any frying.
You have to figure out just the right amount to fill up each donut spot. Too little mix and the donuts are not full. Too much mix and the lid pops open (the latch doesn't hold very well) while baking.
Cons:
No temperature control.
Locking latch is difficult to open.
